Sound Therapy & Drumming for Care Homes in Kent
Gentle, accessible sound and rhythm sessions for residents, including people living with dementia. Nobody has to get onto the floor, follow instructions or remember anything. Residents take part from their chair, wheelchair or bed, and we visit rooms for anyone who cannot join the group.
Why it works in care settings
It asks nothing of the listener
Many activities depend on following instructions or remembering sequences. Sound does not. That makes it one of the most naturally accessible activities for residents with dementia or cognitive decline.
A visible calming effect
Residents who are agitated or restless often settle within the first few minutes. Care staff regularly tell us residents are noticeably calmer in the hours after a session.
Meaningful sensory engagement
Residents can reach out and feel a singing bowl vibrate in their hands, or keep a simple rhythm on a drum. Engagement on their terms.
Your staff benefit too
We encourage care staff to join in. Sharing a calm half hour shifts the dynamic from carer and patient to two people in the same room, both benefiting.

Prices depend on the format and how far we travel. A walk-around visit with handheld instruments needs far less setup than a full group session, so it is often the simplest place to start. Regular bookings attract a discount.
